In this class, we will explore biblical passages from the Old and New Testaments to help us understand Jesus’ promise of an abundant life. The Scriptures consistently portray life as a precious gift from God, meant to be lived wisely and with purpose. However, modern life often traps us in a relentless cycle of tasks and obligations, leaving little room for true satisfaction and contentment. This class aims to break that cycle by exploring God’s intentions and finding deeper meaning and fulfillment in our daily lives. Sometimes, Jesus taught directly, as in the Beatitudes, but often, he spoke to the people in Parables or told stories to which they could relate. These were Kingdom stories. He taught Kingdom principles without saying, “Do this, but don’t do that.” These Kingdom principles were hidden from the religious of the day. They did not have “ears to hear.” They thought they already knew about God. After all, Moses handed down God’s law to them. What more was there?
