From Sherry Fry, Thursday, 4/17, 1L40 PM: Brain damage is pretty severe. The plan is tomorrow to take him off of the ventilator and if he passes within 3hrs he will be able to be an organ donor. God can still work a miracle even now🙌🏻
From Ken Winebark, Thursday, 4/17, 1 PM: Save a miracle, Mike will be taken off life support tomorrow. Please pray for the family.
From Enoch Shipman, Monday, 4/14, 3 PM: The results were what the doctors were worried (expecting) about with potential lack of oxygen to the brain from the big event. We are going to be patient the next few days to see if he wakes up to see what we really are dealing with. He is reacting a little more today. Pray for God to override what the MRI said and the kidneys to start improving!
From Sherry Fry, Monday, 4/14, 7:45 AM: Off sedation. MRI tomorrow(Monday). Praying he wakes up with no brain issues. We need a miracle.
From Sherry Fry, Thu, 4/10, 3:45 AM: So, we are waiting today again. We are trying to take it slow and that’s what the doctors want also. He will come off of one of two strong sedatives that he’s on. This will last 5 hours to be off it. Then, he will rest through the night. They will then slowly take him off the other sedative in the morning. They will be monitoring brain function and if the seizure pattern continues tomorrow. So, it should be a relaxing day and tomorrow might be a big day unless it changes again. We don’t expect any big issues or changes today. Prayer: No more seizures, restored brain function and oxygen potentially, fever to stay away, peace as he regains consciousness each day.
From Sherry Fry, 4/8, 8:30 PM: He is struggling in the natural. The vitals have always been fairly good but he has been having seizures which might mean that the oxygen to the brain hasn’t been good. He is basically fully sedated again and on plenty of medicine. Waiting for an EEG reading and update from neurosurgeon tomorrow morning so no more updates until then.
From Ken Winebark, 4/8, 3:30 PM: Noah (son) said that it’s not looking good for his Dad.
From Ken Winebark, 4/8, 2 PM: Mike is still sedated from last night. He has not awaken; thus, no surgery. Doctors have not yet determined next steps.
From Ken Winebark, 4/8, 8 AM: They were sedating Mike over night and determining stability for triple bypass surgery this morning. Enoch, who was working on trees with him, found him unconscious and did CPR.
From Sherry Fry, 4/7, 6 PM: As of now he still has a pulse, and has been able to breathe on his own somewhat. They just took him back do to an exploratory procedure to check his heart for any issues. Turns out He’s going to need open heart surgery.
From Sherry Fry, 4/7, 2:10 PM: They got a pulse. On oxygen. Off to the hospital. He fell off the trailer. Possible a diabetic blood sugar low. Thank you for praying!
From Sherry Fry, 4/7, 2 PM: Emergency Prayer Request for Mike Shipman, long time friend of CCF. He just fell out of a trailer & hit his head on cement drive. EMT is there trying to get a heart beat. Will post updates on PRAY.ccflindale.org. Please pray!
