Hey, just wanted to let you know that my dad, Jerry Johnson, passed away last night, 12/24, about 11:40 pm.
He got his wish of going quick and painless with one final painless heart attack.
Mom is doing good and we’re still having family gathering for Christmas with one less.
I know he was welcomed in with “well done my good and faithful servant”. – James Johnson
12/27, From James and Nathalie Johnson:
Please join us in celebrating the life of our dad, Jerry Johnson, at CCF, Jan. 2nd at 6 PM.
Brad took Danielle to Lindale emergency room last night and she was then life flighted to children’s Medical Center. They arrived at almost 3 o’clock this morning. She was intubated during the flight and sedated. She has an EEG connected to her and cameras in the room as they are observing neurogenic seizures. Basically that means it’s not a real seizure as an epilepsy, but it is a brain seizure and she is being medicated. I have requested a case manager to reach out to Ronald McDonald as this may be an unfolding story for the next few days we appreciate your prayers that is all that I know for now. (12/20 at 7 AM)
Her fits are most likely psychogenic non-epileptic spells. Appreciate your prayers. Huge learning curve with s whole new vocabulary. Epilepsy is not part of our vocabulary, so we are grateful. (12/20 at 1:30 PM)
Beef broth stayed down, neuroreceptors removed from her head, gonna try to sit up soon, more than 2 hours without an “episode.” (12/20 at 5:30 PM)
Weepy morning for me but comforted by the familiarity of RMDH Dallas. Brad stayed overnight with Danielle and they were moved out of ICU around 2:30 a.m. waiting on Drs. to do their a.m. rounds. Danielle has not had major seizure activity since yesterday afternoon, but trembly legs off and on minimally. We are also waiting on lifestyle advisor, nutritional advisor, and our caseworker. We hope to be discharged later this evening or tomorrow morning. As this is neurological, we are blessed that we don’t need medication adjustments for her. Appreciate your prayers. We are discharged and headed to RMDH to eat dinner, pack up, and head home. She seems fine. (12/21 at 4 PM)
