Hector Manzo was born in Mexico into a family of 8: Dad, Mom & 6 children—five brothers and one sister. Hector was 2nd in birth order. At the age of 18, he moved to California in 1989. On September 16, 1989, he and Maria celebrated their wedding on his birthday.
Hector and his wife have three children: Elizabeth, Yesenia, and Hector Alejandro. Their family has continued to grow, and they now have three granddaughters through Elizabeth Ventura, Abigail and Eliana, and one grandson, Hector Santiago, through his son.
Hector learned of the calling of God when he was 33 years old. He and Maria were going through an extremely difficult season. Their marriage was broken and seemed to be coming to an end. Hector knew they needed help, but he did not know where to find it.
He asked for help here and there. But to no avail. Finally, one day, his sister-in-law asked him, “Why don’t you come to my church and give it a try? Maybe God can rescue your marriage.”
That invitation marked the beginning of a miracle.
Besides going to church, Hector and his wife began attending Bible studies in their home. Step by step, the Lord worked in their hearts. He brought healing, restored their marriage, and repaired the brokenness in their relationship. What seemed impossible to them, God began to restore through His grace and love.
Life has not always been easy. They have experienced both good times and difficult times, but through every season, God has carried them. He has remained faithful and has continued to guide their family.
Today, Hector and his wife are happy to serve the Lord at CCF. Their marriage and family are a testimony of God’s saving power, His faithfulness, and His ability to restore what is broken.
