I was born in Oregon, and at a young age of 5-1/2 I lost my biological parents. The Lord brought me a new set of parents (Frank and Marie Wilson) when I was 6-1/2 years old. They brought me to a Foursquare church where the gospel was preached, and I accepted the Lord at 7-1/2 years old.
I can still remember that day because we had an afterglow at a home after church and I told everyone. I was so excited. I wasn’t perfect and had a little rebellion going on in my teen years. God was tugging at my heart strings the whole time. I moved to So Cal at 19 and started attending Hope Chapel and was building in commercial and residential for my uncles. Hope asked me to come to work for them at night as a janitor.
I worked for them for a couple years and met my wife. We had 3 sons and took in lots of other kids in who needed an extra mom and dad, as their parents weren’t around, or they needed some Godly guidance. My wife and I have been married for 37 years. We have served in many ministries from worship, missions, youth, small group leaders, foster care, home school teacher and camping ministry.
I worked for Hope as the Maintenance Supervisor for 30 years and retired in February, 2022. We moved to Lindale and started attending CCF in May and was hired in July. They asked me if I wanted a job, and I told them I retired. Moni told me “You are being “Re-Fired,” as in the start of a “new season.” In the Kingdom of God, we actually never retire, we keep pressing on to the goal Christ has set before us. Our family moto is “we put Christ first and we are here to serve” Please feel free to come talk to us.
