Community Christian Fellowship is a non-denominational, elder-governed family of believers from many different backgrounds and from many different parts of the globe. Besides a core group of "locals," our congregation is largely comprised of students and staff from several of the nearby international Christian ministries, such as Youth With A Mission (YWAM), Mercy Ships Ministries, Teen Mania Ministries, and Living Alternatives, etc.  Several nationalities and races are represented in our unique congregation. Although located in the East Texas countryside, we're blessed to have a broad world missions perspective with teams from CCF and area ministries coming and going on various international missions outreaches.

CCF began in the mid-to-late 1970s as an offshoot of Agape Force Ministries as a Sunday morning worship gathering of area ministry staff and students. During the early 1980s CCF held services in the YWAM gymnasium for a short while and later in the Agape Force cafeteria (what is now the Mercy Ships Oasis building) prior to congregating in the present building which had formerly been a warehouse & dormitory of Agape Force Ministries.
